The best DEJ car
Lets see them put that in the new one
I bet LMC could make some great content today and not have to show episodes from a decade ago. They are still open and I am sure have plenty of new stories to tell.
@@roytrevisan3491 We make new content all the time Roy. Just posted a GNX resto video two days ago!
Surprising to still see people using a water blade and chamois.
Awesome. 👍
Is it for sale? Please respond
They also were available in Canada at Ford dealerships. I remember them in junior high school
The road runner, and the GTO goat are the 2 holy grails of hot rod world
That thing is beautiful! The Diablo is my all-time favorite Lamborghini. If I could afford it, I’d buy that one in a heartbeat! 🫤
Not sure about the color but it’s a nice car and I like the plaid interior.
That car probably has the original break in oil in it as well as the original oil filter from the factory. Does the AC still work? It could wind up being a case of, " if you don't use it, you lose it", so common on Canadian cars cuz when do we use it?! The refrigeration oil sits in the bottom of the evaporator and the condenser and acidifies and eats them from the inside out. If it's used it gets circulated all the time and it doesn't sit in one place forever.
I noticed that you had the car running while taking it off the trailer . Did you already drain the fuel system before running it ?
So what.Its still slow
A friend of mine he's a car collector, and he says there was never any Nova SS made. And I seen a 72 SS Nova,,, now I'm confused
Who parked it within a doors length of that brick wall??!! 😅
Fix the pwr antenna..probably just needs a little lube
@legendarymotorcar So what was the final price the customer paid for the car after prep and cleaning???
Thanks so very much for the history on that car it was very informative and enjoyed watching this video. Your doing great in tge in automotive history.
Thanks for sharing. Awesome
Like to know how much he paid for it . I bought my GN new in 87 . They had a GNX in the showroom too at 33k . I couldn't afford it . Oh well .
Money💰........ There just aint nothing in the world 🌎 like it!
You should’ve fixed the headliner. Other than that fantastic work.
IDC what ppl think but cars are meant to drive.
To bad about the saggy headliner..they don't make that color any more. You can easily tell by looking at it that it has more than 282 miles on it...I'm sure it is a low mile car but it ain't no 282 mile car that's for sure. It looks great though. You guy's did a awesome job on it.
Also only 69 were made of the 1969 Camaro ZL1. The all aluminum engine option cost more than the car itself.
It’s kind of a shame that this car was never enjoyed on the road. But it is great to look back in time. I graduated college in 1986. I wanted one of these, but the price was out of my range. I “settled” for a gorgeous red Trans Am. That was a great car.
He missed the bigger oil pan on the '66, can't recall if they were on the 65 model, street or track. I had a 66 (6S1089). Never drove a 65, but I sat in one and started the engine inside a Ford dealer's garage, which was partially underground...phew what a sound from those side exhausts. Don't know if it was a street or race version, but the 65s were more beastly than the 66. My friend has a 65 hi-po GT, and there was a big difference between that my my 66 Shelby.
What brand/model of small polisher was she using?
I'd drive the damn thing...not as a daily or anything crazy like that...but I'd definitely put some miles on it... I drive my Saleen about 1,200 sunny miles a year and it's frickin fun, and it hasn't hurt the value not one little bit. I wouldn't drive a GNX quite that much but I'd definitely put around 500 miles on it annually.
I loved my T-type...several friends had GNs. I saw an original GNX come through my hometown back in the day. I had the chance to purchase a GSX sadly I didn't 😥. If I ever win the lottery this will be my fist purchase. Thanks for letting me ramble.
I don’t understand why the owner would park it and not drive it. Cars are meant to be enjoyed and driven, not put on a shelf! You don’t live forever.
That car needs to be driven and enjoyed, let it do what it was meant to do. Haul ass and burn gas. If you want something to sit around and admire, buy paintings not cars.
always appreciated the guys that kept these cars and didn’t drive them for us others that really want to drive them! I would definitely bomb around in this thing! dry ice amazing btw great vid well done
When my hood shocks went I replaced them with shocks from Napa. They were the exact thing GM sold but Napa was 1/2 the price for my 87 Grand Nat’l. BTW that paint is thin on these cars. It’s easy to hit the primer. Beware. The paint was the worst in the GN plant of all plants. My paint would get dull grey looking after a few washes after being waxed. Without having a clear coat on these cars the paint sucked. It was the last yr for lacquer and my hood had spider web cracking and was also starting in the front fenders. If you were the original owner GM would repaint the car at no cost. Look that one up. I spoke with the head GM Paint Rep and they wouldn’t do my car because I was the 2nd owner with only 8,000 km. But I did pay the $100 to transfer the 6 yr warranty back in 1990. Note! These cars did not have a clear coat from the factory. If it was cleared then GM did not do it.
I really enjoyed this video, I have watched Legendary Motorcar shows for years !!! I really enjoyed watching this !
I remember graduating high school in 86 and drooling evertime I saw one of these gorgeous ladies drive by. Y'all did a excellent job cleaning and touching up the cosmetics on the ol'e girl she had me drooling once again. Congratulations to the new onwer.👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻✌️✌️
Wish you guys would come to Motortrend TV miss your show.
The ONE thing I hated about the. Nova was the swept wing speedo it reminds me of a Buick passenger car I Never understood why it didn’t have a SS dash. After my dads 68 SS Chevelle got stolen in 71 he was looking at an L72 Vette but being 25 the insurance was as much as the car payment so then he looked at a L78 4spd Nova but the clutch was worn and he wouldn’t come down on price so he 😂 Settled for a Copo Camaro both priced at $1900 not a bad deal
No 1970 Hemi Cuda or Hemi 426 Challenger? Convertible even?
What’s a car like this going to cost me?
Were the fluids replaced?
Yes, per the video info. ✌️✌️
Great video! The GNX is on my list of the top 5 I would want in my collection.
Such a fantastic low mileage dry iced and cleaned up time capsule! Guys thanks for keeping the most iconic cars in a good shape and giving them a second birth!
I have an 85 930 with 20k on it. These cars are meant to be lovingly enjoyed, not sit and just looked at !
One of my all time favourite cars! Original is cool but it’s a shame that the car spent its life not being driven.
What number out of 547 was this car? What was the sticker on the gauge cluster at 2:17? So many of these have super low miles. This one was slowly dying by just sitting unprotected. Glad you were able to get it looking like day one. I hope the new owner drives it once in a while.
I wish this was my car...not only would she be a blast to drive but she's also got concert sound 2 which was much better then concert sound 1 for when I'd have the tunes cranked
I believe thats a single stage laquer son, no clear. Correct me if there something different about the GNX paint versus the rest. "The thing" looks great. like father like son.
RIP Mr. Jim Scoutten.
